Knight Frank has added Greece to its expanding coverage of Europe via dedicated offices.
Its new Athens office opens this month and will initially focus on two main services: office leasing advisory to corporate owners and occupiers and valuations.
The firms said that a full spectrum of commercial property services was planned for the future.
The expansion is part of strengthening Knight Frank’s coverage in south eastern Europe and follows the opening last month of an office in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia.
Andrew Sim, managing director of Europe at the firm, said: ‘This further strengthens our coverage across South East Europe. We share the expectation of a strong rebound for the Greek economy coming out of Covid-19 and are ready to help existing international clients, as well as new domestic clients, in these improving market conditions.’
Athens currently has a stock of 2.45 mln m2 of class A and B and owner-occupied office space.
Horatiu Florescu, chairman & CEO, Knight Frank Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria and Greece added: “The opening of Knight Frank Athens represents an exciting expansion of the network. Athens is a city in the vicinity of our already dominant presence in Bucharest, Budapest and Sofia, so this opening comes as a natural step in order to be able to best service our existent database present in Greece as well.’
