Klépierre is not exiting the office sector altogether despite plans to sell EUR 1 bn of assets between this year and next. The Paris-based company said it was not ruling out the option of remaining active in the sector in the future.

Last week, PropertyEU reported that the French retail specialist would exit the office sector by the end of 2013 following the sale of the office portfolio.

As reported previously, Klépierre plans to sell EUR 1 bn of assets by end-2013, largely involving the group's office package valued at some EUR 600 mln.
Offices currently represent some 5% of Klépierre portfolio and include landmark assets such as Séreinis, a 13,000-m2 building in Issy-les-Moulineaux fully let to Veolia Transdev as well as Les Bureaux du Canal, 14,000 m2 of office accommodation partly occupied by the French ministry of finance.
