Paris-listed real estate firm Klépierre and French insurer Axa have jointly acquired the land under Val d'Europe Mall from Euro Disney for EUR 47 mln. Inaugurated in October 2000, the mall is co-owned by Klépierre (55%) and Axa (45%) and they had a long-term lease with Euro Disney for the land on which it is built.

The owners have been investing EUR 66.2 mln in renovation and extension of the shopping centre in recent years.
Val d'Europe Mall and its 130 stores for the hear of the city that has grown up around the Disney resort. Under the 30 year main agreement signed with the French public authorities in 1987, the Euro Disney Group is responsible, together with the French public authorities, for the planning and development of approximately 2,000 hectares including and surrounding the resort. This area includes the Val d'Europe region, an economic hub-east of Paris.
