Munich-based Kingstone Real Estate is boosting its deal-making capabilities in the residential sector via the hiring of Simon Lieb.

Tim Schomberg, managing partner, said: ‘We consider selected residential investments to be an attractive investment opportunity for our long-term oriented investors, even in the current market environment.’

‘In this regard, our focus is on investments in established and emerging economies, such as the Netherlands, Germany and Poland.’

Lieb, 38, has been mandated team lead for residential transactions to focus on residential real estate and related uses, including, student accommodation, micro-apartments, retirement home facilities and age-appropriate housing. He was previously at Germany’s Industria Wohnen as transaction manager.

Kingstone said: ‘In light of the current market situation, there will be a particular focus on affordable housing.’
