A joint venture of Kennedy Wilson and its equity partners as well as the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) has submitted a planning request for a major mixed-use development in Dublin.

Extending over 4.8 acres, Capital Dock is one of the largest undeveloped sites in Dublin's Central Business District and is planned to see the development of over 600,000 sq ft (55,700 m2) of new space.

Located on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, it will include 313,000 sq ft of office space across three buildings and 204 high-quality residential units across two buildings, one of which will incorporate a 19 storey tower.

The proposed development, which is bounded by water on two sides, will also include a new 1.5-acre landscaped public park and square.

Kennedy Wilson is the majority partner and will act as development manager to the project. The company expects to obtain planning permission later this year and to commence on site in early 2016, with the first office building available in 2017.

'Our new development at Capital Dock will be the standard-bearer for integrated office and residential development,' commented Peter Collins, managing director at Kennedy Wilson Europe. 'This development will have a transformative effect, not only on the skyline of the Dublin Docklands, but on the public social, cultural and business realm in this part of the city.'
