Amsterdam-based Kempen Capital Management (KCM) has appointed Robert-Jan Tel as director non-listed real estate.
Tel starts in the position on 16 September 2013.
He has worked with the Philips pension fund, Stichting Philips Pensioenfonds, since 2009 where he set up a new, global non-listed real estate portfolio, with an estimated value of €600 million. Tel was responsible for the strategy, implementation and monitoring of this portfolio.
Before Robert-Jan joined Philips, he was head of real estate investments at another Dutch pension fund, TKP, where he invested €1 bn in European and Asian non-listed real estate funds.
KCM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dutch merchant bank and asset manager Kempen & Co.
