The KanAm grundinvest funds have bought the Atrium Business Park office project in Bertrange, south-western Luxembourg. The development comprises the Emporium building providing some 24,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of office space, and will be extended to include three additional buildings by the end of 2011. The complex will then provide almost 30,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of leasable space, the company said in a statement. The investment volume for the project amounts to about EUR 131 mln.

The Emporium building is fully let primarily to financial and insurance companies such as Clearstream, Citibank, Dexia, La Mondiale and Bâloise Assurances. The park comprises 876 underground parking spaces, which will rise to 2,000 after completion of the project. The company said that the acquisition has been financed via own capital funds. The fund’s assets currently stand at EUR 3.7 bn.
