The ESG strategy unit replaces the group’s former sustainability & analysis and sustainable asset strategy departments, and will be responsible for preparing, implementing and monitoring regulatory requirements relating to sustainability issues.

It will also focus on the evaluation and operational implementation of ESG strategies at a property level.

Hein, who assumes the role of director and head of ESG strategy, previously led the sustainable asset strategy department.  He will now report to Jan Jescow Stoehr, MD at KanAm Grund Group.

Commenting on the creation of the new unit, Jescow Stoehr, said: ‘The ESG strategy department plays a central role in our organisation. It interfaces with almost all divisions of KanAm Grund Group.

‘By merging the previous departments, we will be able to make our processes and activities in the area of sustainability even more efficient and transparent in the future with the help of Manuel Hein and his team. This will enable us to meet the growing requirements and potential of the market and our investors even better.’
