Kajima Europe, the real asset investor, developer and manager, has appointed Andrew Ludiman as head of development & investment for its partnerships business.
Ludiman joins from Homes England, where he delivered financial structures for housing and regeneration projects through joint ventures, funds and other strategic funding initiatives.
Chris Gill, managing director of Kajima Partnerships, said: 'Andrew is a key strategic appointment for the Kajima Partnerships business, and we are delighted to welcome him to the company.
'Andrew brings a huge amount of expertise in social infrastructure and regeneration, a core sector which we are committed to growing within Kajima. I look forward to working together with Andrew and the Kajima Partnerships board to continue actively expanding and enhancing our business strategy and pursue further investment and development opportunities across the UK and Europe.'
Ludiman has nearly 30 years’ experience in large-scale residential and commercial real estate investment and development. Prior to Homes England, he was commercial director at Knight Dragon and director of investment at Capital & Counties, where he was responsible for the development and management of major regeneration schemes including the £16 bn mixed-use development at Greenwich Peninsula.
Kajima Partnerships is the property and project finance investment arm of Kajima Europe, active in social infrastructure, renewables and urban regeneration.
Ludiman will lead the company’s development & investment team to grow the regeneration, development and social infrastructure arms of the business, with support from Gill. This aligns with the UK Government’s significant push to leverage the private sector in delivering housing, social infrastructure and regeneration initiatives across the UK.
Said Ludiman: 'I am excited to be joining the Kajima Partnerships team as the Head of Development & Investment.
'In this new role, I am looking forward to taking the Kajima Partnerships business to a new level, aligned with the reinvigorated push for housing and regeneration by the UK Government that promotes private sector investment, further strengthening Kajima’s market position to drive strategic growth and continue to develop projects that provide real social value.'
