Specialist German financier Berlin Hyp has unveiled plans to finance Kadans' Dutch Science Park portfolio in the Netherlands to the tune of €124 mln.
The loan covers a portfolio totalling 14 office and laboratory buildings across Kadans' five locations of Utrecht, Eindhoven, Nijmegen, Wageningen and Breda.
Together, they have a total rental area of around 100,500 m2. About two thirds of the space is used for offices and the remaining third for laboratories, Berlin Hyp said. In addition, almost all of the buildings meet high 'Green Building' standards.
The majority of the tenants belong to knowledge-intensive sectors, such as tech, pharmaceutical, food, chemicals and agriculture companies.
Among the largest occupiers are Genmab, Eurofins Agro Testing Wageningen, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, Sencio and CSK Food Enrichment.
