Justin Berry has been appointed senior director in the City Capital Markets team at CB Richard Ellis. Berry will move to London from CBRE’s operations in Moscow, where he is head of capital markets in Russia and a senior member of the international investment group.
He will fill a gap left by Mike Edwards, who left last month after 22 years with the company to set up an asset management business with Jones Lang LaSalle's director of City investment Nigel Fox, and LaSalle Investment Management's fund manager David Marten.
Berry previously worked with CBRE as a director in its central London capital markets team before moving to Moscow in 2007. He has acted for major institutional and private investors on investment policy and strategy and has advised on over £4 bn (EUR 4.4 bn) of investment and corporate finance transactions.
He and his team handled over $600 mln (EUR 400 mln) of deals in Russia. Whilst in London he worked on many transactions for UBS, the £660 mln City Point sale and numerous acquisitions and disposals for Deka.
