JPMAM hires Blackrock alternative specialist for European role

JP Morgan Asset Management – Global Real Assets has appointed Claudius Weissbarth as executive director of its European client strategy.

Weissbarth will be based in London and report to Doug Doughty, global head of business development at JP Morgan Asset Management – Global Real Assets. His focus will be on building and maintaining relationships with real asset clients and prospects throughout Europe and the UK.

Weissbarth will also support the real assets platform business development in real estate, infrastructure and maritime investing across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Prior to his appointment, Weissbarth served as director and alternative specialist at Blackrock Real Estate, where he was responsible for global real estate business development, fund raising, investment activities and product structuring.

Earlier in his career, he was director of global public real estate opportunities at Forum Securities and international associate of real estate private equity at Citigroup Property Investors.
