LaSalle Investment Management has appointed Jon Zehner to the newly created role of Head of Global Capital Markets, starting in March. In his new role, Zehner will be responsible for leading LaSalle’s global activities relating to capital raising, new product development, merchant banking, and large scale, cross-border strategic investments with partners.

LaSalle Investment Management has appointed Jon Zehner to the newly created role of Head of Global Capital Markets, starting in March. In his new role, Zehner will be responsible for leading LaSalle’s global activities relating to capital raising, new product development, merchant banking, and large scale, cross-border strategic investments with partners.

Zehner, who will be based in London, will become a member of LaSalle’s Global Management Committee and will work directly with Jeff Jacobson, LaSalle’s Global Chief Executive Officer.

Zehner will join LaSalle from Area Property Partners where he was a Senior Director. Prior to joining Area in 2009, Zehner worked for 28 years with JP Morgan Chase, where he held a number of senior positions including Global Head of Real Estate Investment Banking and Head of sub-Saharan Africa. Zehner holds a number of positions with industry organizations including Chair of the Real Estate Advisory Board of the University of Cambridge and a Trustee and member of the Board of Directors of the Urban Land Institute. Past industry activities include co-founding and serving on the Executive Board of the European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA).
