Jones Lang LaSalle's head of capital markets in Portugal, Fernando Ferreira is leaving the company to join local asset manager Square AM as chief investment officer.
He will start in the new position from mid-September, helping manage a portfolio of €1.4 bn of assets across the country.
Ferreira will be replaced at JLL by Gonçalo De Aguia. He joined the broker in 2013 from Banco Espírito Santo, where he headed the real estate department. Before then, he worked for broker Cushman & Wakefield, which he joined in 1999.
'It has been an honour to be at JLL for the last 7 years working alongside so many talented, energetic and inspiring colleagues and taking part in such an exciting transformation and disruptive journey which allowed JLL to become number one in Portugal,' Ferreira said in a Linkedin post.
