International foodservice expert Jonathan Doughty has moved from JLL Foodservice Consulting to Hamburg-based developer and asset manager ECE.
The founder of Coverpoint Foodservice Consultants, which was acquired by JLL in 2014, has been appointed global head of Foodservice at the German firm as of July 1.
'We are delighted to add such an expert, who is renowned across Europe and a unique figure in his industry, to our team,' commented Klaus Striebich, managing director leasing at ECE.
Doughty founded Coverpoint in 1993 and became JLL's head of EMEA Foodservice Consulting when the business was absorbed by the international advisory firm.
At ECE, Doughty will develop new concepts and work with new and existing food and beverage tenants. He and his team will also analyse the potential of ECE's 150 centres for new or refurbishment food projects, before implementing them.
ECE has already worked with Doughty, who helped develop the 'Foodtopia' dining area at Frankfurt's MyZeil shopping centre, which is due to open in 2018.
