Jones Lang LaSalle has named Andreas Quint as the new CEO of the broker's operations in Germany to replace Christian Ulbrich who takes over as the head of the EMEA division from January 2009.

Quint, 48, joins JLL from Catella Germany where he has been CEO since 2006. Previously, he was with Arthur Anderson Real Estate and, following their merger, Ernst & Young Real Estate for 10 years. Quint will take up his appointment in January and will be based in Frankfurt.

Alastair Hughes, Jones Lang LaSalle's current CEO for EMEA, said: 'We had a very strong pool of internal and external candidates but in Andreas we are convinced that we have made a particularly strong appointment for Jones Lang LaSalle in Germany, complementing our existing senior leaders very well.'

'Andreas will bring additional skills that will further enhance our leadership position in Germany, combining capital markets know-how with deep real estate knowledge. He is a well respected advisor and, together with his client focus, this will be of particular importance in the coming years.'

Hughes has been appointed CEO Asia Pacific for Jones Lang LaSalle from next year.
