In this role, he will focus on managing investor relationships as well as fundraising for a wide range of risk-profiles, sectors and strategies.

Kehr, who will be based in Frankfurt, brings over 20 years of industry experience and strong relationships with institutional investors across Europe, North America and Asia. He joins JLL from a large German pension scheme, where he oversaw the general and the real estate investment strategy, working with both internal and external asset managers.

Prior to this, he held positions at Mercer working with institutional investors on their asset allocation, their portfolios in real estate and other illiquid and liquid asset classes.

Anthony Biddulph, head of fund placement, EMEA, JLL, said: 'We are excited to welcome Dr Kehr and his wealth of knowledge to this new role within our growing funds placement team.

'His addition will further bolster our extensive expertise and network of relationships with institutional investors across EMEA, and particularly the DACH region where we have raised an increasing amount of capital in recent years.'

Kehr said: 'I look forward to joining JLL and helping investors in sourcing outstanding investment solutions from highly specialised international fund managers. The team at JLL is in an excellent position to support investors in achieving their ambitions.'

The hire comes after UK-based Capra Global Partners Limited joined JLL earlier in the year to bolster JLL’s debt advisory and corporate finance capabilities, including equity placement, M&A and JVs.

The newly formed funds placement team is part of JLL’s debt advisory and corporate finance business and helps real estate companies to raise capital, and pension funds and insurance companies to invest in real estate, thereby helping them to protect and grow the assets of their beneficiaries.
