Jones Lang LaSalle has launched a new centralised team of retail consultants who will provide bespoke services to international clients. Operating out of the firm's Berlin office, the team will source and coordinate mandates from international retailers and will complement the firm's local retail agency offering and expertise in Germany.
The new Berlin-based team will be led by Andreas Kogge, director for Retail Leasing Berlin, supported by Thomas Mauritz who joins as a director from Hennes & Mauritz (H&M). Mauritz was instrumental in H&M's expansion in Germany and was the company's leasing manager for almost 20 years.
He will advise and assist clients on their expansion strategies and location analyses, but also on store design and shop fitting, areas of increasing importance in today’s competitive international retail market.
Jones Lang LaSalle’s James Dolphin also joins the new team, alongside his current role as head of Retail Leasing EMEA. Florian Bitter will also transfer to the new Berlin-based unit from JLL's local retail lettings team. Bitter has been with JLL since 2010, having previously worked as a project manager for the Institut für Handelsforschung (IfH, institute for retail research) at Cologne University.
