Jones Lang LaSalle has hired two financial experts, including a Morgan Stanley banker, to lead a new debt advisory department in France.

The firm has recruited Cyril Hoyaux from Morgan Stanley and Cityhold's former head of acquisitions Christophe Murciani for the new team, which will aim to support institutional and investment funds in their search for real estate financing in the French market.

Hoyaux, aged 46, joins the broker from the structured real estate financing department of Morgan Stanley. He was formerly a managing director at Ad Valorem Expertises.

Murciani, aged 43, was previously responsible for acquisitions at Cityhold in France. He also worked at Tishman Speyer, where he headed the European financing team. From 1993 to 2008, he was in charge of real estate financing for banks including Citigroup, Natixis and Société Générale.

'In an environment of constant change in the supply of real estate loans, we offer our clients a bespoke service that will allow them to optimize the use of leverage,' commented Benoît du Passage, president of Jones Lang LaSalle. 'We also enter into a period characterised by a high volume of debt maturities and refinancings and where many investors will need access to all opportunities in the credit market, which could also be found outside of France.'
