Hybrid Working Models are Driving the Demand For Data Centres

Catriona Shearer becomes data centre consulting lead across EMEA while David Harkman becomes data centre operations director in the UK. The newly created roles will scale JLL’s data centres facilities management service and consulting advisory service, and strengthen the company’s end-to-end data centre solutions for clients.

Jonathan Kinsey, head of data centres EMEA, said: ‘Our clients continue to seek help to navigate the realities of the rapidly changing business landscape and the record demand for data centres solutions.’

He added that advanced and energy-efficient data centres were ‘key infrastructure’ in the global economy. ‘As the digitization of our world continues to grow exponentially, data centres are at a crucial stage in their lifecycle.’

Recent JLL data highlighted that hybrid working models are driving the demand for data centres, with the growth in personal usage of social media, online gaming, and streaming applications largely accelerating this need. With that, more technology, and data storage solutions requires more additional resource to cater to the demand.
