Property advisor Jones Lang LaSalle has bolstered its German retail management services operations with the acquisition of Dusseldorf-based Brune Consulting Management. Brune employs 30 people with mandates encompassing some 250,000 m2, including nine shopping centres. Its clients include several leading German and international investors.

With immediate effect, Brune will be combined with JLL's existing management services operations in Germany and Austria. The move brings overall retail space under management up to around 450,000 m2, including 15 shopping centres.

Markus Reinert, a Dusseldorf-based JLL director, commented: 'With this volume and business platform, Jones Lang LaSalle has positioned itself as one of the leading companies in the area of shopping centre management in Germany. We are going to expand these business activities consistently in order to meet the requirements and the demand from the market side and thus the investors’ needs.'

Reinert, who is also a member of the German management board of JLL and Peter Orend, CFO of JLL in Germany, will become managing directors of Brune Consulting Management. Brune' s previous managing director, Rainer Bodenburg, will continue to support the company as a consultant.
