JLL has appointed Joacim Sjöberg as head of capital markets for the Nordic region, effective June 1 2017.

Based in Sweden, Sjöberg will focus on developing the large real estate portfolio and structured transactions businesses, as well as strengthening JLL’s finance solutions offering across the Nordic countries of Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway.

Sjöberg has more than 25 years of relevant experience from senior roles within Swedbank Corporate Finance, HSH Nordbank, Öhman Fondkommision, Alfred Berg ABN Amro Corporate Finance and Hemfosa Fastigheter.

He will lead the capital markets management team for the Nordic region together with Tom Lindahl, head of capital markets in Sweden, Linus Ericsson, head of debt and financial advisory in Sweden, and Christian Hohenthal, head of capital markets in Finland.

JLL said that the formation of a Nordic-wide capital markets team was the first step in creating a joined up, full service platform across the region.

In total, the advisor employs 75 professionals within capital markets business throughout the Nordic countries, which includes affiliated partners Akershus Eiendom in Norway and Sadolin Albaek in Denmark. JLL’s capital markets and corporate finance teams have over 800 employees across the EMEA region.
