JLL has appointed Gianluca Romano as global head of underwriting and advisory in its global funds advisory team, based in London.
In his new role, Romano will oversee the underwriting of mandates taken on by the Global Funds Advisory team, and support the broader capital markets business, advising on funds, joint ventures, and recapitalisations.
Joining the firm from StepStone Real Estate, he brings to JLL more than 25 years of experience, gained both in the US and Europe.
‘The investment landscape is evolving the world over, and I look forward to working as part of a global team to provide clients with the tools and tailored advice they require across the full scope of their real estate investment needs,’ said Romano.
Romano’s appointment follows a number of recent hires to JLL’s growing global funds advisory team, which was created in 2017.
JLL is a firm specialized in real estate and investment management. It is based in Chicago, and has a total revenue of €5.9 bn.
