The new role covers advising institutional investors and real estate companies on indirect capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, platform investments and capital raising.

‘We’ve witnessed considerable growth within the indirect real estate investment market since the turn of the century, and it’s still undergoing serious expansion,' said Pieter Hendrikse, CEO JLL Netherlands.

'A lot of Dutch and international investors have switched to investing through club deals in funds with specialised managers, taking over complete platforms and/or entering into mergers or strategic partnerships with existing real estate firms.

'This trend is continuing due to such factors as the growth in the number of foreign investors in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. Sacha’s arrival will enable us to expedite further growth of our activities in this segment.’

Hoek has 20 years of experience with such entities as Fakton Capital in Amsterdam, Deutsche Bank in London and Kempen & Co in Amsterdam.

Said Hoek: ‘I’m extremely enthusiastic about this role within JLL and see a great deal of opportunities in terms of advising Dutch and foreign parties on their financial strategic options and different transaction structures. JLL’s strong international network is instrumental when it comes to providing current and future customers with superior, bespoke advice.’
