JLL has promoted Andrei Vacaru to head of capital markets JLL Romania.
Vacaru has over 13 years’ experience in the Romanian real estate market and joined JLL in May 2007 as senior consultant in the retail department. He then managed the JLL retail team in Romania and, afterwards, the research and consultancy departments.
'Andrei’s appointment is overdue as he has been ready for the role for a while now and this has shown in his involvement in prominent transactions and his role in educating the strategy of the capital markets department in JLL Romania,' said Silviana Petre Badea, managing director JLL Romania.
'I am confident that Andrei’s tenure at the helm of the team will be a successful one and that he has the full support of his team in the country as well as that of our colleagues in CEE and EMEA.'
The JLL Romania capital markets team has advised on transactions with a total volume of close to €1 bn in the last four years.
'We are seeing growth in investment volumes, number of transactions and general depth of investor interest in Romania. In this context we will ensure that JLL's clients get the benefit of our local expertise as well as unrivalled regional and global reach together with corporate finance and debt advisory,' concluded Vacaru.
