French listed shopping centre group Klépierre has announced the appointment of Jean-Marc Jestin as chief operating officer and a member of the group’s executive board. His appointment will take effect on 29 October 2012.

French listed shopping centre group Klépierre has announced the appointment of Jean-Marc Jestin as chief operating officer and a member of the group’s executive board. His appointment will take effect on 29 October 2012.

Jestin started his career in 1991at Arthur Andersen in an audit function where he contributed to the development of the Real Estate Practice. In 1999, he became CFO and then COO of the pan-European platform Simon Ivanhoe, a joint venture between Simon Property Group and Ivanhoé Cambridge, a real estate subsidiary of CDPQ.

In 2007, he changed to Unibail-Rodamco International team, acting as deputy chief investment officer in charge of acquisitions, sales and M&A transactions. Since 2011 Jestin has served as chief executive of Unibail-Rodamco's office portfolio.
