Cushman & Wakefield has appointed James Yates as a partner in its UK capital markets team.

Yates brings 15 years of experience in real estate advisory, having previously worked at Avison Young, where he was most recently a director in the company's capital markets team.

In his new role at Cushman & Wakefield, Yates will lead the capital markets team in Yorkshire and the North East, providing expert guidance on the acquisition and disposal of commercial investments.

He will draw upon his extensive experience in advising clients on a wide range of commercial property transactions across the UK, including Aviva, CBRE IM, Copley Point Capital, M7, and local authorities.

Yates will be based at Cushman & Wakefield's Leeds office.
