IVG Immobilien, the largest listed real estate firm in Germany, has signed leasing contracts for almost 40,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of office space. The leasing success, IVG said, was helped by a slight improvement in employment levels.

The firm outlined eight of the largest leasing deals covering a total of 38,100 m2.

In the largest deal, IVG extended the rental contract with Universal Music Entertainment in the listed and converted Eierkühlhaus (egg cold storage depot) near the Oberbaumbrücke, covering 17,580 m2, by 10 years to the end of 2019. The music company has three options of five years each. CB Richard Ellis advised Universal Music, with Jones Lang LaSalle acting for IVG.

The second largest agreement involved the restructuring at Montagu Evans, of an existing rental contract covering approximately 8,770 m2 at EuroSelect 8 in Victoria, London.

The Alma consulting group rented 5,800 m2 in Front Office 92 in Paris. The newly concluded rental contract runs until the end of July 2019. BNP Paribas Real Estate was the advisor. Front Office 92 is a HQE-certified building consists of three wings with a total of 23,470 m2 office space on nine storeys with an underground garage, between the Seine and the city in a newly created district in Asnières.
