A subsidiary of IT company Optibase has acquired a fully let commercial property in Rümlang, Switzerland from Zublin Immobilien for about EUR 15.5 mln.

A subsidiary of IT company Optibase has acquired a fully let commercial property in Rümlang, Switzerland from Zublin Immobilien for about EUR 15.5 mln.

The transaction volume was slightly above its IFRS fair value at end-September 2009. Financing for the transaction was provided by a local Swiss bank.

The five-storey building at Riedmattstrasse 9 comprises 12,500 m2 of office, laboratory and retail space. Polymed Medical Center and DHL Logistics occupy more than half of the space in the building.

Zurich-based Zublin said the sale of this property was consistent with the company's strategy to concentrate its investment holdings on energy efficient office properties in a few selected cities in Switzerland, France and Germany.
