Ireland's luxury Druids Glen hotel & golf resort has been placed on the market for sale with a guide price of €45 mln by advisor Savills.
The five-star resort, located to the south of Dublin, sits on a 349-acre estate featuring a 145 bedroom hotel and two 18-hole championship golf courses - Druids Glen and Druids Heath – created by course designer Pat Ruddy and former golfer Tom Craddock.
In 1996, just a year after opening, Druids Glen hosted the Irish Open – and continued to do so until 1999. The Seve Trophy – a bi-annual event between the leading Tour Players of Britain & Ireland and Continental Europe – also took place at the prestigious venue in 2002.
The hotel opened in 2002 as a Marriott resort and was fully refurbished in the past four years. It features 145 guestrooms and suites, eight conference and event rooms, spa, health club and several dining options. It is free of brand or management agreements.
