Industrial property specialist IO has appointed real estate fund manager David Hunter as its non-executive chairman.
Hunter is a former managing director of Aberdeen Asset Management’s £6.5 bn UK and international property fund business.
He has been an international property consultant since 2005 and will work closely with Angus Scott-Brown, IO’s managing partner, to grow and broaden the business.
IO intends to invest up to £100 mln of capital in the next phase of its investment strategy. The company said it has nearly fully invested an initial £35 mln raised at the beginning of 2012 by Angus Scott-Brown with backing from Grosvenor’s indirect investment team.
