German software company InVision has acquired Dusseldorf's Maki Solitaire office building in a transaction brokered by Savills and Catella.
InVision, a provider of workforce management solutions, purchased the property on Speditionsstrasse 5 in the city's Medienhafen harbour area. The financial details were not disclosed.
The eight-storey Maki Solitaire asset is a modern building developed in 2001 which comprises 2,000 m2 of floor space and offers a view of the harbour. It is named after the property's Japanese architect, Fuminiko Maki.
Savills advised its client, an international fashion business, on the sale, while Catella acted for Invision.
Daniel Weuthen, in Savills Düsseldorf investment team, said: 'Medienhafen is one of the most sought-after office locations in Düsseldorf and whilst the demand is high, assets as attractive as Maki Solitaire and of its scale are rare.'
Andreas Wende, head of investment at Savills Germany, added: 'Düsseldorf remains an attractive market for national and international investors. Evidence of this is the city‘s high investment volume, which was recorded at €1.76 bn in 2013, almost three times higher than the 2012 transaction volume.'
