Fabian Manegold of Invesco Real Estate has died at the age of 54.
High profile transactions he was involved in over recent years included Die Welle in Frankfurt. Most recently he had been particularly busy with the team buying for Invesco's European Living Fund.
In a statement, the company said: 'With deepest sadness, Invesco Real Estate today announces the unexpected passing of Fabian Manegold, managing director of transactions for its European operations.'
Manegold was responsible for acquisitions and disposals in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands across office, residential, logistics and retail sectors. Since joining Invesco Real Estate in 2008, he was instrumental in building the business’ growth and oversaw a total of over 6.1 bn USD in transactions.
Andy Rofe, managing director, head of Europe at Invesco Real Estate said: 'Fabian was a treasured and dynamic colleague, having worked at Invesco for more than 14 years; and was much loved and respected by peers and clients alike – he will be truly missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.'
