The appointment ties in with the growing appetite for investment into the UK residential market due to its potentially strong income component and ability to add diversification to multi-asset portfolios, said Andy Rofe, managing director of Invesco Real Estate – Europe.

'Victoria’s expertise across the UK and Europe complements the experience of our existing team of residential specialists,' Rofe added.

Stanley brings 12 years of transactional and operational real estate experience from across the UK and Europe to her new role, joining from a residential role at UK investment manager Long Harbour.

According to IRE, its UK residential division, led by John German, has invested around £1 bn (€1.12 bn) to date including pipeline deals. The firm’s UK/European sector operations have now reached £1.75 bn.

'I am looking forward to further developing IRE’s business in the UK where we currently see extensive opportunities for our clients, in particular, within the residential sector,' said Stanley.
