Invesco Real Estate has acquired the Entre Deux shopping centre in the Dutch city of Maastricht. The financial details were not disclosed. The vendor is ASR Vastgoed Vermogensbeheer, the real estate management division of Dutch insurer ASR.

Entre Deux comprises 12,000 m2 of leaseable retail space divided over three levels. The parking garage and apartments connected to the shopping centre are not part of the deal. Parking group Q-Park owns the garage and the apartments are owned by a private investor.

The covered area of the shopping centre has 30 shops, including fashion retailers Hennes & Mauritz, Zara, WE, Men at Work and New Yorker. Other retailers in the centre include Intertoys, Sabon, Xenos, DE Koffie & Kado and Cook & Co.

The name Entre Deux reflects the fact that the shopping centre is located between two important squares, the Vrijthof and the Markt, in Maastricht. Developed by Multi Corporation, the shopping centre has won several prizes since it was completed in 2006. Two years ago it won the ICSC Award for the best European shopping centre.

Cushman & Wakefield, Boekel de Nerée and Mürlepartner advised Invesco Real Estate during the transaction. Houthoff Buruma acted for ASR Vastgoed Vermogensbeheer.

German lender Aareal Bank provided financing and was advised by law firm Stibbe.
