Student housing operator International Campus has started construction of a new residence hall offering 303 apartments on a 3,000 m2 site in the Nordstadt district of Hanover in Germany.
The company has taken over the new build project from a local partner and plans to invest a total of €24.5 mln in The Fizz Hannover building, which is due for delivery in the summer of 2015.
'We are investing in Hanover because we have found here excellent preconditions for a long-term and successful engagement in student housing. Lower Saxony's capital city has a very attractive university environment, in the future there will still be a high demand for small-scale residential accommodation with a useful mix of services,' commented Horst Lieder, CEO of International Campus.
The building was designed by architectural firm Schneider + Sendelbach while the main contractor is Köster Bau of Osnabrück.
