INREV, European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles, has strengthened its public affairs team with two apppointments. Andreas Guth has been named public affairs manager and Claudia Kapp is the research manager.

INREV said in a statement that the move reinforces the association's commitment to broadening and deepening its dialogue with European policymakers and regulators, at a time when the non-listed real estate funds industry is facing increasing regulation with initiatives such as Solvency II, AIFMD, EMIR and FTT.

Guth joins INREV from global public affairs consultancy, Weber Shandwick, in Brussels. Prior to that, he was responsible for trade and customs policy at the European Association for Information and Communication Technology and Consumer Electronics (DigitalEurope); and has worked at the European Commission, Directorate General for Trade as well as the European Internet Foundation.

Kapp worked for the General Secretariat for the Andean Community. She will provide support on public affairs issues within the INREV research team under Lonneke Löwik, INREV’s director research and information.
