ING Real Estate Investment Management (ING REIM) has announced the acquisition of Brondankulma, a prime office property in the heart of the Helsinki CBD area in Finland from Netherlands-registered Bronda Properties. Financial details were not disclosed.

The property will be added to the ING Real Estate Nordic Property Fund (NPF), a semi-open ended balanced core plus fund investing in Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

ING REIM said that the acquisition is in line with NPF's strategy to increase investment exposure to quality assets in Finland and adds to the substantial portfolio that the NPF already holds in Finland.

'The Nordic region has strong projected economic fundamentals combined with mature and transparent real estate markets. As a long-term investor, this transaction reaffirms our belief in the Nordic region and Brondankulma will be a great addition to our portfolio,' said Peter Helfrich, managing director of ING Real Estate Investment Management Nordics.

With this acquisition, the ING Real Estate Nordic Property Fund expands its portfolio to 155 properties with a total value of approximately EUR 907 mln.
