IING Real Estate Investment Management (ING REIM) CEE has announced the appointment of Gijs Klomp as the new head of Asset Management Hungary & Romania.
Klomp's appointment as new Head of Asset Management Hungary & Romania follows a management decision aimed at combining both countries into one management centre. Based in the Czech capital, Prague, Klomp is responsible for supervising and coordinating the efforts of the Asset Management Team managing the commercial property portfolio. He takes over the Hungarian operations from Peter Horvath who has decided to leave the company 'in order to pursue new opportunities'.
Born in the Netherlands, Klomp joined ING Real Estate in 2002. During the past four years he has been Asset Manager in charge of the Romanian market. ING REIM commenced operations in Romania in 2006 and is the owner of the Felicia Shopping Centre in Iasi.
Martin Sabelko, managing director of ING Real Estate Investment Management CEE and Germany said the changes would add further effectiveness to ING REIM's Central and Eastern Europe organisation.
