ING Real Estate Development (ING RED) is selling seven court buildings in the Netherlands to the Dutch State for about EUR 200 mln. The properties were developed by ING RED at the request of the State in the 1990s and leased on a long-term basis to the Rijksgebouwendienst, the Dutch government building agency.

The acquisition of the buildings is in line with the State's strategy of cutting cost by buying key buildings. The buildings are in the cities of Groningen, Assen, Lelystad, Utrecht, Alkmaar, Roermond and Middelburg and comprise a total leasable area of 104,000 m2.

Jones Lang LaSalle acted for the Rijksgebouwendienst, with legal advice provided by Pels Rijcken & Drooglever Fortuijn.
