ING Real Estate is seeking to sell its interest in the Centre Sud shopping centre in the southern part of Le Mans, France. The company confirmed to PropertyEU that Jones Lang LaSalle has received the mandate to sell its stake in the mall which is valued at some EUR 65 mln.

The scheme, located next to a Carrefour hypermarket, underwent extension work last year which added 20 shops to its retail offer, reaching 90 retail units. The scheme also includes parking spaces for 2,000 cars. Opened in 2000, the centre has a catchment area of 178,000 inhabitants and is owned by the ING Retail Property Fund France Belgium.

In June this year, Carrefour Property acquired 2,000 m2 of retail space in the commercial gallery of the mall from French listed company Klépierre. The remaining stake in the retail gallery, with a total of 18 units, is controlled by ING RE.
