ING Real Estate has appointed Pal Baross and Bohumil Mach as country managers for Hungary and the Czech Republic respectively.

ING Real Estate has appointed Pal Baross and Bohumil Mach as country managers for Hungary and the Czech Republic respectively.

Baross joined ING RE in 1998 as a developer. He led the development of several landmark buildings in Budapest such as the Andrássy building, which previously accommodated ING Hungary, the Liget Center (Dózsa György út) and Park Atrium, which currently houses ING Hungary's offices. In 2006 he was elected chairman of the board of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Hungary.

Mach (43) joined ING Real Estate in 2004 as Technical Director with responsibility for commercial as well as residential real estate development projects.

Additionally, the company said it has appointed Wilson Lee as portfolio manager for its Opportunistic Investment Platform, Europe. Lee brings over 24 years of real estate experience, most recently as managing director and head of Real Estate Finance EMEA and Asia Pacific at UBS Investment Bank. Lee will be located in ING Real Estate's UK office.
