ING Real Estate has announced the closure of a EUR 57 mln mortgage loan for three Swedish properties held by Henderson Global Investors' Herald Fund. The fund has invested more than EUR 300 mln in several European countries and has a target size of EUR 1 bn.

Commenting on the loan, Neil Varnham, director of Property Retail (Europe) at Henderson Global Investors, said: 'At a time when markets have been particularly challenging ING Real Estate has proven to be an excellent financing partner for Herald's first acquisition in Sweden. We look forward to working with them again in the future'.
