Executives from some of Europe's leading property companies will attempt to cycle the length of Hadrian’s Wall in the North of England to raise funds for the MPS Society, which funds research into Hunter’s Syndrome.

The group, including James Wilkinson from BlackRock, Tom Walker and Hugo Machin from AMP, as well as Dirk Jan Lucas and Simon Robson-Brown from CBRE Clarion and Vincent Willink from Kempen, will undertake the 160 km ride on May 9 and 10 in a bid to raise awareness of Hunter Syndrome, a severe genetic disorder.

Several managers and investors will cheer the cyclists on to the finishing line in Newcastle on May 10.

So far, it is understood that the biggest donation has come from Dutch property company Wereldhave.

For larger donations, businessmen Tom Walker, Hugo Machin and James Wilkinson have pledged to do the dance from the Beyonce video Single Ladies.

Hunter Syndrome is a rare, life-limiting genetic disease.

With this initiative the industry wants to show its support in particular for real estate veteran Vincent Willink, whose twin boys Wander and Teun were diagnosed with Hunter’s Syndrome in 2013.
