The real estate division of Swiss builder Implenia has acquired two prime locations for development in Zurich-Seebach and Morges, Switzerland.
These CHF 40 mln (€41 mln) acquisitions boast significant residential development potential, with a projected market value of CHF 110 mln (€113 mln) upon completion.
In Zurich's Seebach district, the Dohlenweg site near the Oerlikon train station is slated for around 60 new apartments. Implenia aims to submit the development plans by the end of 2024.
The Morges lakeside property on Rue de Lausanne will be transformed from a former commercial site into a vibrant urban quarter. The plan includes around 2,500 m2 of new residential space, with 1,000 m2 for rent and the remaining for purchase. Additionally, 600 m2 of commercial rental space is planned.
Adrian Wyss, head Division Real Estate at Implenia, commented: ‘Demand for residential space in attractive, central locations remains high. By continuing to invest in our development pipeline, we are helping to create a diverse range of residential space. We believe in the attractiveness of the Swiss real estate market.’
Sustainability will be a key focus, with the new buildings aiming to meet the highest energy efficiency standards. Both locations boast excellent access to public transportation and central locations within their respective cities.
