Austrian listed property group Immofinanz has announced the start of construction of its Tarasy Zamkowe shopping centre in the Polish city of Lublin.

Austrian listed property group Immofinanz has announced the start of construction of its Tarasy Zamkowe shopping centre in the Polish city of Lublin.

The shopping centre, representing a development cost of €95 mln, will provide a38,000 m2 of shopping and entertainment space over 150 shops and 1,400 parking spaces.

The opening is scheduled for the last quarter of 2014.

'Lublin is an attractive market for the retail trade with its 350,000 residents and a catchment area with a population of 800,000. The interest of potential international, national and local tenants confirms this standing. We recently signed a contract with the Spanish Inditex Group, which is one of the world’s largest fashion retailers,' commented Immofinanz CEO Eduard Zehetner.

Inditex will be represented in Tarasy Zamkowe with all seven brands - Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho and Zara Home - covering a total floor space of 5,300 m2.

The mall is targeting a BREEAM 'Very good' rating.
