Austrian listed property firm Immofinanz has appointed Nicolas Fernandez de Retana as new head of European retail asset management.
Austrian listed property firm Immofinanz has appointed Nicolas Fernandez de Retana as new head of European retail asset management.
Fernandez de Retana, aged 50, recently served as head of real estate for Leder und Schuh, where he was responsible for the company’s offices in 10 countries.
He will now be responsible for Immofinanz’s European retail portfolio, which had a fair value of €1.1 bn at end-January 2015.
Fernandez de Retana will seek to increase the value and improve the brand positioning of Immofinanz's retail properties which consist of large shopping centres in as well as the rapidly growing Stop.Shop retail park chain and the Vivo! shopping centre brand designed for locations with a catchment area of at least 200,000 visitors.
