Vienna and Warsaw-listed property group Immofinanz will ask shareholders to endorse two new appointments to its supervisory board at its AGM in May.
The board has nominated Bettina Breitenender and Sven Bienert as new members. Breitenender has previously been on the supervisory boards of Erste Group and Interunfall AG, a subsidiary of Generali, where she advised on areas such as risk management, construction, audit and IT.
She has been involved in her family-owned corporate group, BIP Breitenender Immobilien Parking, since 1993, focusing on property management and development, and also was also board chairwoman at DZ Donauzentrum owners' and landlords' shareholders' association from 1995 until 2004.
Bienert has worked for a number of real estate companies and international consulting firms, including Vienna-based Probus Real Estate GmbH, Since 2010 he has held a university chair at the University of Regensburg, where he heads the IRE/BS Competence Center of Sustainable Real Estate. He was a member of the supervisory board of CA Immobilien from 2016 until 2018 and of ZIMA Holding AG since then.
The pair have been proposed as successors to Horst Populorum and Wolfgang Schischek, who are both leaving the board at their own request.
