Austrian property company Immoeast has opened the Polus Centre Cluj in Transylvania. The shopping centre is the company's largest retail development project in Romania and represents a total investment by Immoeast of EUR 210 mln.

Austrian property company Immoeast has opened the Polus Centre Cluj in Transylvania. The shopping centre is the company's largest retail development project in Romania and represents a total investment by Immoeast of EUR 210 mln.

The property has total floor space of 100,000 m2 and is fully-let upon opening. The 184 tenants include household names such as Mango, Deichman, Tom Tailor, Zara, Reebok and Intersport. mmoeast acquired the Polus Center Cluj in the form of a forward purchase in 2006. After the opening of the fully let property all conditions for the completion of the purchase are complied with, the acquisition will be closed in the coming weeks. The property was developed by TriGránit Holding, in which company Immoeast holds a 25% stake.

At the end July 2007, Immoeast's portfolio comprised 426 properties with combined floor space of 5.4 million m2.
