Immochan, the property development arm of French hypermarket chain Auchan, is planning to invest some EUR 120 mln in the development of a new retail centre in Eastern Paris, Les Saisons de Meaux.
Immochan, the property development arm of French hypermarket chain Auchan, is planning to invest some EUR 120 mln in the development of a new retail centre in Eastern Paris, Les Saisons de Meaux.
The privately-held company is buying the 152,000-m2 plot of land for the creation of a 11,500-m2 hypermarket, a DIY store of 10,000 m2 as well as 10 mid-sized retail surfaces including a 3,500-m2 Décathlon store. In total, the scheme will offer 64,500 m2 of retail area.
Immochan won the bidding launched by the public authorities, Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Meaux for the development of the site in 2009.
Construction is due to start in autumn 2012, with opening scheduled for September 2014.
